Braun Design Seminars
info and bookings
Our seminars make use of Das Programm’s core collection of Braun Design and the expertise of its director, Dr Peter Kapos. The objects around which the seminars are built can be found together in only a handful of places across the world. These landmark designs provide physical reference points as participants are led through a history of the Braun Company’s adventure in modernist industrial design. The seminars track the development of Braun audio design from its tentative appearance in 1955, and the emergence in the 1960s of a product programme of unprecedented rigour and formal coherence, through to its austere conclusion in the 1990s.
Seminars are held at Das Programm’s London E1 base. With group sizes maximum 6, the experience is direct and conversational. Handling is encouraged. Although the seminars are suited to design professionals and students, no specialist knowledge is assumed.
