The form of the H 7 fan heater closely follows that of Weiss' HLD 231 -  motor and fan are articulated as a vented cylindrical form extending into a rectangularly sectioned cuboid nozzle that houses the heating elements. The design concept was developed in by Weiss in 1965, and completed independently by Dieter Rams in the following year.
