More info

Issued the year after the Audio 1, Braun's first fully transistorised combined system. The TC 20 was offered as a less powerful (8 W to the audio 1's 14 W) alternative.  At a price of 795.00 DM, the TC 20 was cheaper than the Audio 1 by a margin of 455.00 DM. As such this design straddles the two categories that by this time had developed within the audio programme - light weight flexible systems and high fidelity fixed position systems.    It was withdrawn from the market in 1968, by which time it had been technically surpassed by far more capable phono devices, including the PS 1000 and PS 500.
